I believe they are intended to represent Navajo, Zuni or Hopi iconography from
the U.S. Southwest.

The F16 has got to be the single most beautiful plane the USAF has
bought in years, probably since the 101.

IMHO the most beautiful plane USA ever build was P51 Mustang .... since then
SR 71 Blackbird is my top list concerning planes .
Single seated ? P38 Ligntning and A4 Skyhawk.
